Celebrating client successes

Celebrating client successes

Thrice as nice! Congratulations are in order for a trio of HRM clients.

We've been busy this month spreading the word about the milestone anniversaries, major contract wins and financial performance success stories of Doordeals, Millgate and SCX Group!

Doordeals is celebrating its 10th birthday after achieving a turnover in excess of £4m in the last financial year, giving them double the reason to celebrate.

Steve Naylor, managing director, has seen his business develop significantly in recent years and the company has now become one of the leading independent online timber door retailers in the UK.

Steve’s dad John, helped launch one of Sheffield’s first hardware and door shop, Abbeydale DIY Centre, way back in 1971. Steve joined his dad back in the 90s. But in 2007, identifying an opportunity to develop online business he decided to set up on his own - and Doordeals.co.uk was born.

Steve has now grown his business from employing just two members of staff, to having a dedicated team of more than 20 full and part time employees.

The celebrations are also happening at Millgate – the tech firm is marking more than two decades in business.

Celebrating its 21st anniversary, Sheffield-based Millgate, is forecasting a turnover of more than £50m for 2017 after enjoying another year of solid growth.

Established in 1996 in Rotherham with three staff providing IT and communication solutions for businesses in Yorkshire, Millgate today employs 115 people and serves more than 6,000 customers across the UK.

Now based on Vantage Drive in Sheffield, Millgate was also shortlisted in the ‘Best Company to Work for’ in technology trade magazine CRN’s Sales and Marketing awards in June.

And last, but certainly not least, the SCX Group has delivered its finest ever financial performance.

The performance is in part due to winning several major contracts including designing, manufacturing and the installation of a retractable roof over Number One court at the All England Lawn Tennis Club at Wimbledon.

SCX Special Projects, part of the SCX Group, which is based in Wincobank, Sheffield, was awarded the contract for its expertise and flair in precision engineering and skills in kinetic architecture.

SCX successfully designed, manufactured, and installed a similar retractable roof over Wimbledon’s Centre Court in 2009.

Well done to all three clients – we look forward to sharing more of your good news throughout the rest of 2017 and beyond!
