On the case with Primary Care Sheffield
The health sector has always been a part of HRM’s day to day work and we’ve recently been delighted to be part of an exciting project with Primary Care Sheffield.
Initially we were tasked to produce a series of videos for the CASES programme, which makes sure patients receive their care in the most appropriate setting from the most appropriate clinician.
‘CASES’ stands for: Clinical Assessment Service, Education, Support and Self-management. This new elective care programme aims to provide a genuinely joined-up approach to delivering patient care, in order to achieve the best possible services for Sheffield patients.
The model supports primary and secondary care to help make sure patients get the right treatment at the right time in the right place. It will initially focus on seven specialties – Cardiology, Dermatology, Ear Nose and Throat, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Respiratory, and Urology.
Our role was to produce videos for all these specialities with expert GPs which are then shared with their colleagues via a members only group of the PCS website.
We have also set up a peer to peer Facebook group which allows GPs to take part in Facebook Live webinars as an when required.
The videos have been very well received and our involvement with PCS has evolved into a short-term PR role to push some of the organisation’s key issues.
To reach different audiences requires making use of all the tools at our disposal. This mix of traditional PR, social media and video is becoming increasingly common in our work with clients.
