It has been awards season in Hollywood recently with the Oscars taking centre stage. A little closer to home a number of our clients have been celebrating their own successes.
Frenchgate Shopping Centre has been shortlisted for three prestigious Revo Purple Apple marketing awards, Redbrik’s Peter Lee has secured his place in Yorkshire Business Insider’s prestigious 42 under 42 list, and SCX has been shortlisted in three award categories at The Business Desk’s Yorkshire Business Masters Awards 2018 and for the Made in Sheffield Awards 2018.
It is fantastic when clients receive well deserved recognition for their hard work and dedication. Awards bring a real sense of reward and achievement for everyone involved.
Our award submissions for Frenchgate last year saw the shopping centre shortlisted for two Purple Apple awards - so we have gone one better this year with a hat-trick! I personally worked with Frenchgate and Redbrik on their submissions and feel very proud that we have contributed to their success.
Frenchgate has been recognised for the Frenchgate Flower Show (tactical marketing category), Making Tracks exhibition (cause related marketing category) and the creation of the Arts Space within the centre (strategic marketing category).
The Revo Purple Apple Marketing Awards are the only ones which recognise and reward effective shopping and town centre marketing within the UK retail property sector. They reflect how marketers have to constantly adjust to changing times, from ensuring their budget goes further and works harder, driving retailer sales and harnessing new initiatives including digital marketing.
SCX is celebrating as finalists in the Innovation, Investment, and Medium Business categories at The Business Desk’s Yorkshire Business Masters Awards, and in the Made in Sheffield Awards has been shortlisted in Innovation and the Overall Made in Sheffield Award.
In the last five years, the company has enjoyed significant contract wins including a second retractable roof - this time on the number one court at the All England Club at the home of tennis Wimbledon. Other high-profile contract wins includes a world-first retractable football pitch for Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium and a semi-automated crane for the decommissioning of the Dounreay nuclear plant.
These nominations are testament to the hard work and dedication from staff across all three companies under the SCX Group brand – SCX Special Projects, Street CraneXpress and Burnand XH.
Having previously successfully nominated Redbrik’s Mark Ross for the Yorkshire Business Insider 42 under 42 accolade, the pressure was certainly on to ensure Peter Lee made the final cut for the class of 2018. Thankfully, he did, and his colleagues at Redbrik are so proud of him that they made him his very own t-shirt with his face on to celebrate!
So good luck to SCX and Frenchgate at their respective award ceremonies in April and May. Team HRM will be cheering you on all the way.
