HRM leads the drive for Sheffield to clock up 6 million active minutes

Team HRM has hung up its trainers following a third successful Move More Month, which saw people across Sheffield record more than six million active minutes.

We were proud to deliver PR & communications for Move More Month for a third consecutive year, with the scheme’s Workplace Challenge the most popular yet.

A record number of businesses – more than 140 – formed an unprecedented 605 teams. More than 3,200 participants put their best feet forward as exercise moved to the top of the agenda for city businesses and employees.

Countless activities took place across the city, including the Schools Challenge – which saw pupils at schools across Sheffield take part in short activities during their lunch break.

Hopscotch courts were also installed at various locations around the city, numerous community engagement activities took place and the world’s strongest junior, Paul Smith, pulled a double decker bus across Sheffield’s Olympic Legacy Park (twice!) to celebrate the physical activity initiative.

The curtains will close on another fantastic Move More Month at an awards ceremony held at Attercliffe’s Glide House, home to international wire joinery firm Gripple, to recognise the winners of the 2018 Move More Workplace Challenge.

Roll on Move More 2019.
