Social media – which platform do you HEART the most?
Social media – it’s a big part of the day for us HR Medians, personally and professionally.
So we were intrigued by communication industry gurus Spin Sucks’ recent question: Which social media platform do you prefer to use for your business?
They got lots of interesting responses from the PR and marketing community – so we thought we’d ask the team here at HRM HQ for their views, too:
Richard Fidler - Account Director
My favourite social media platform is Twitter – not because of particularly enjoying the content on there, but it does provide me with the latest news across a wide variety of topics.
Simon Waller - Account Manager - Video and Creative
Mine is Facebook. I like the personal, conversational style. I’m in a lot of groups which I think is a great way to keep in touch and up to date with everything.
Simon Garlick - Senior Designer
It’s Instagram for me, because I find it to be a very friendly and supportive community as well as a great source of inspiration for all aspects of design!
Jill Theobald - Copywriter and Content Manager
I’m a Facebook-phobe! And have never been on. I love Instagram, but Twitter has to be my favourite. I love that it is so versatile, I can share all different sides of my personality – professional with my writing, features and blogs (and puns!), as well as personal interests and hobbies like my card-making, love of libraries and reading, and of course foodie snaps of Sheffield’s eateries to the JOY of certain colleagues.*
*Simon Waller in particular is a big fan of those!
Laura Metcalfe - Senior Account Executive
Definitely Instagram. For me, I think it’s much more community based and more positive than other social media channels.
Isobel Buffin - Account Executive
My fave social media platform is BOTIM as this allows me to message and video call my family who live out in the UAE. Most social media platforms which allow you to video call are banned out there such as Sykpe and Tango and I’ve found that BOTIM is the best quality.
It’s a tie between Twitter and Instagram!
